Below is an essay on "Dance" from Anti Essays, your source for research papers, essays, and term paper examples.

I have been interested in dance right from the age of 5. I was interested in both eastern and western type of dance. I started my dance courses in Bharatanatyam at Kalamandalam Salt Lake at the age of 7. I believe dance to be the food for the soul. It is the only way to create direct contact with the almighty. All kinds of feelings can be expressed through dance. Dance is difficult if it is seen as a collection of complex movements but very simple and easy if thought to be a way of expressing one’s feeling’s and emotions. Among the different type of dance forms in India I like Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi the most. I also like Odissi and Mohiniyattam.   Dance is more of a “Gurumukhi Vidya” (guru dependent) than any other art forms. Dance is a very important part of my life and I don’t think I’ll be able to live without it. I practice dance everyday for about 2 hours not because I should practice but because I enjoy it. My mother also enjoyed dancing I heard she was very good at it. So I guess I inherited it from her. A person who enjoys dancing will like to dance to express any kind of emotion.   “
“’ll dance for love
I’ll dance for pain
I dance hoping there’s still love to gain
I’ll dance for them
I’ll dance for me
I’ll dance just to let the emotion see
I’ll dance in rain
I’ll dance in shine
I’ll dance hoping you’ll be mine”
Written by Jordan Johnson in ‘I’ll dance’.
Indian dance in all its classical and regional forms is now a part of world culture and is being accepted far beyond the national boundaries of the country. This shows that dance along with music is the most universal art form and can break the cultural barriers more easily than the rest.
