Dance Therapy
Emily Peters suffers from a severe emotional disorder. She cannot hang out with friends or live the life of a typical teenager. Her psychiatrist recommended to her parents that they try what is called dance therapy. Emily’s parents did what they were told to do and five months later Emily was going out on Saturday nights with her new friends. Her mental and physical health had greatly improved. And now Emily lives a healthier life. Many people are helped in mental and physical ways from doing some sort of dance therapy. Dancing can affect ones physical and mental health in a positive manner.
The brain had a very delicate and long process to deliver the right message for your body to do. There are two hemispheres that make up the brain. Scientist think that they do not differ so much in what they focus on and do but more in how the are processing the information (Inside the human brain 1). The left hemisphere is said to work on details and the right hemisphere on just basics such as background. The cerebellum, taking up about 10 percent of the brain, is were the balances and coordination are taken control of.   The brain stem is what connects the brain to the spinal chord. This is were the automatic reactions are processed (Inside the human brain 1).
Human beings are always aware of their conscience. Whether your conscience is good or bad affects your personality and how you handle things. The mood you’re in and what you feel like can affect whether you have a high self-esteem or a low one. When your brain sees something it interprets the object and tells you how to feel. When we don’t feel comfortable in a situation we tend to question ourselves.
