Photographic images have been around since the early-19-century. We may think that the whole world has been amazed and respectful for the invention of the photography, but for the schemers, it has only made their opportunities to manipulate bigger.
Manipulation has had it’s breakthrough before the photograph was invented, and today manipulation is being made by our highly developed technoligy. Manipulation of photos has had a big significance in advertisements and photojournalists for many years, and now it has become so easy to work with that anyone can make a manipulation, with only Photoshop and a computer. In most news organisations, they have strickt rules against this, because of the temptation of the journalists to retouch and improve their pictures. They also require that the retouched pictures need to be labeled, so the readers can notice.

It’s a little odd to think, that people where able to manipulate before the photography was invented. But it appears that with a little skill and imagination, some people were able to do so.
