Why do people exercise?
People can be classified according to their exercising habits into three different categories: those who exercise to lose weight, those who exercise to gain weight, and those who exercise for pleasure. First, those people who train in order to lose weight usually have a common characteristic: they are overweight. They are also more susceptible to get tired sooner than others; consequently, they tend to consume energetic supplements to improve their performance. Besides, this people worry about their health because they know that they are prone to heart diseases. Furthermore, there are other people who exercise with a different purpose: they exercise to gain weight. This implies that they are either in or down the average of their regular weight, which is good for them. However, although their relatively good physical condition, in most cases, allows them to have an admirable performance in sports, some people become risk takers during their work out. For example, body builders tend to developed unhealthy behaviors, such as the use of anabolic steroids. The reason why do they do this is that they are only worried about their body image. Finally, as regards people who exercise for pleasure, it does not matter how their weigh is. Therefore, any kind of person can be included in this category. In other words, they may have an advantageous or disadvantageous condition. Generally, they do not really matter what others think about them; otherwise, their main purpose is to feel good, full of energy and healthy. In brief, because of the reasons mentioned above, people can be divided into three different categories according to their exercising habits.
