My comfort food is “Hae mool Dduk Jjim”. Comfort food means a specific food consumed under a specific situation to obtain psychological comfort. ‘Hae mool’ means seafood, ‘Dduk’ means rice cake, and ‘Jjim’ means stew. I knew it through my friends and on TV when I was a college student. Hence, I went a restaurant which I heard from friends. There were lined up, and I waited few minutes, then I ordered it. It had three spicy levels, mild, regular and extra spicy, and I ordered regular one. When I first saw it, I found red boiled soup, shrimps, surf clams, squids, crabs, sliced rice cake and fish cake, it looked delicious, and I could smell spicy. The soup was spicy and the end of taste was little sweet. First, we ate soup and seafood, then remained soup and mixed rice, vegetables and eggs together, then fried. The fried rice was really great, it was clear taste. I was very satisfied with it, and enjoyed with my friends.
It was the best food while I attended a college in Seoul, Korea. The restaurant was franchise restaurant, so there were many stores in Seoul. It made me to eat it many times in anywhere. It was very spicy, and had various seafoods, that is why I loved it. Also I liked the end of taste ‘sweet’. And fried rice made soothe in my mouth after eating spicy thing, I felt clean. It was exciting. The price also cheap, $20 per three people, I could eat it without a burden. Right before I came Hawaii, I ate it with friends. Many friends were satisfied and they liked it, so atmosphere also be delightful.
Especially, the reason why I missed it, here is no food like it, any Korean restaurant sell like that. Hence, if I visit Korea, I will go the restaurant fir
