I believe there is a drug problem in America, in fact, I think drug problems are inevitable when it comes to our society. Everyone somewhere is dependant on some type of drug whether it be a street drug or a prescription. As long as people are given the resources and are able to take drugs, they will. And the sure thing that happens when a person takes drugs is, you get addicted. After a person gets addicted and dependant, that drug becomes their main priority. Sometimes not even the closest family or friend can do anything to help. Our country is full of drugged out people in good and bad ways. Illegal drugs however is what is dangerous. After people have their main priority in the their mind they usually wont stop until they get their drug. This is why drug dealing can be such a profitable business, you have always have your customers wanting, and needing, more.
Who else makes all the money from illegal drugs? The government. I am a firm believer in our country and we are the worlds superpower. Why on earth is it so hard to just wipe out all these drug supplies? We have the technology to do amazing things so why are these substances still effecting so many people? Because without drug busts and crime that comes from drugs, there really wouldn’t be much left. No drugs would be like a chain reaction in dropping crime rates. Illegal weapons would probably diminish, violence crimes, poverty, ect. Not to mention all the money would flow back into society and it wouldn’t all be going to just one place.
If I were in charge, I would use the tools and laws we have built here in America to help our society get off these illegal drugs and eventually find a way to wipe out the resources’.
