Dear President Barack Obama:
My name is Jaci Smith. I am a junior at a small school in Kentucky, Union County High School. I am sure that you know of the many problems the U.S. may have. I am writing you to inform you on my opinion of the three main problems in this society. I will not only express my opinions, but also give examples on how these issues can be solved.
The first issue that I am going to bring to your attention today is the crashing of the stock markets. A large number of elderly people have their retirement in stocks and bonds, and when the price of the value on the stocks and bonds fall that decreases the amount of money they have to use for their retirement. Also the failing of major banks and the automobile industry has caused a lot of people to lose their jobs and homes. We could also stop importing from other countries more than we export to these countries. We should start manufacturing more of the products we import form other countries, creating more jobs for Americans.
The third issue I am going to present is the rate of obesity in America. Children no longer play outside, instead they stay indoors and watch television and play video games. Some schools have even cut back on physical education classes. This leads to inactive overweight children, which grow up to be inactive overweight adults. Obesity leads to such health...
