Kim Jong Il
Kim Jong Il was born on February 16, 1941 even though many official accounts say he was born a year later from this date but no one has an exact date to be proven. The birth place of Il is not given either, some may say he was born near today’s Russia or on the borders of China, but no research came to find the exact place. Kim Jong Il’s personality is completely based around power where he found his leadership that defines North Koreans society currently today.
When Il was in his Early twenties he joined the Workers’ Party where he found most of his communist ideas and trades. This Party was said to follow a lot of Stalin’s way of leadership even though they wanted to be named for themselves. Once Kim graduated college he began to grow in the ranks of the Workers’ Party and started to make a name for himself. At this time he Korea was trying to step away from being influenced by many other surrounding countries so he was appointed to lead an offense so the ideas set by Il’s father were not taken for granted.
Kim Jong Il saw much freedom to be given in the media and censorship. His official biography says that he contacted with many writers and artists in Korean media. Some say he revolutionized the Korean fine arts from pushing new films to be made to enjoying and attending them for him to enjoy. He encouraged some of the best Korean films ever to be made which made his father and him look like gods in the North Korean governmental system.
Kim Jong Il’s largest figure to look up to was easily his father who had much power in North Korea in the sixties and early seventies. His father name was Kim Il Sung and kind of trained is son to have the power he has today. In the seventies Kim Jong Il’s name became to grow and grow as his positions in the North Korean government and by the eighties him and his father knew where he was going.
