I consider that to many people the value of life greatly differs. There are those who love life and embrace it to the fullest, and then there are those that find life insignificant and meaningless. I feel that life and the value of life in general is what you make it.
It doesn’t make sense to explain to someone how important life is because the matter of importance lies only with the individual. Life to me is extremely significant. I plan to make my life important, not necessarily to everyone around me but to myself. The way I see it is that I am not here for a purpose pre-destined to fulfill by someone or some thing, rather a purpose of my choosing. There is so much to do, see, and experience. I could never see myself not doing something with my life, especially in the world that surrounds us today. I am not content with the manner of the world that we live in right now, and I know that it is up to my choosing to make a difference. The older I get the more I realize that life isn’t just going with the flow of world around you, it’s about becoming yourself, a unique individual shaped by your own thoughts, experiences, and beliefs. Life is less a learning process and very much more a discovering journey. I don’t think a person can truly value life until they realize the vast possibilities which lay before them. I believe that it is up to you to discover what has meaning in your life and once you realize how precious things can be only then can you actually value life in a more comprehensive way. I feel that I am a person given life, a great and priceless tool capable of constructing anything I desire. The value of life is what ever you make it.
