Better To Have Love Come Late Than Not At All
I love the opposite sex and it seems like I always have a girlfriend. I have dated a girl from every different ethnicity listed on the SAT’s “info” section. I have courted girls from every different clique in my high school; athlete to goth, smart and dumb, you name it. Some girls think I’m a player, or that I just speed date through a group of girls. But I’m just looking for the perfect match. I think that in life, it helps to have a companion to love and to share your life with a partner. Love is a necessity in life and takes patience.
It all started at an innocent football game. I had been single for a week or two after a rough break up. During half time I went to the concession stand for a drink and that’s when it happened. I turned around from the window and there she was, ironically under a light by herself. She was Latin, with curves for days. She looked like a mix between Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. I literally almost dropped my drink. She had taken my breath away. I swore I heard a Marvin Gaye in the background, because I thought I had just fallen in love. I walked up to her and introduced myself and my first question was if she was single and thankfully she said “yes”. I escorted her to her seat and began to get to know her. Her name was Isabella and believe me, I will never forget that name. I then began to listen to her every word like I was going to be tested on it later. She had a rich personality and a familiar sense of humor that I couldn’t resist. It was just the way her deep brown eyes looked at me. I knew she had me for good.
I got her number and we went on a date the very next day. We went on a picnic in the middle of a grassy field with fake champagne and spaghetti as our meal. I picked spaghetti to try to pull a “Lady and The Tramp” move to hopefully steal a kiss. It was my best date ever and as we lay there on the blanket after dinner, she grabbed my hand and in a...
