The case of Leo Santos is one of the actual situation that happens in the real world of a professional. Being a professional, there are not only practice standards to be followed, but there are also ethical issues to consider. Leo Santos is working on the improvement of the accounting system of two clients and wishes to bill each of them the sum of travel expenses he incurred. This paper will show how Leo Santos can improve on this challenge by considering his profession and ethics instead of gratifying himself of the money he does not deserve.
1.0 Statement of the Problem
Leo Santos, a junior consultant at a medium-sized management consultancy firm, is working on the improvement of the accounting system of two clients. The clients are situated in a place quite far from the firm which requires Leo to travel to the city. He could reimburse the travel expenses that he would incur. As he prepares the letter for reimbursement, he is considering charging for the total amount of the expenses to each of the two clients. This consideration is backed up by his reason that if he had separate trips going to the location of the client, he would still incur the same amount.
Guided by the situation of Leo Santos, the paper attempts to respond to the following problems:
1. Who are the parties that are directly affected by this ethical dilemma?
