McDonald’s & Burger King
When I think of fast food the two places that come to mind a lot to me are
McDonald’s and Burger King. Now they are both big and very successful businesses. They have some things in common with their food and business. They both make hamburgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, and other foods like that. There are also some differences in both of them as well. For example the menu, they both have similar things but they are different. What's the first thing you think of when someone says McDonald's or Burger King? Probably their signature sandwiches the Big Mac from McDonald’s. The Big Mac is the hamburger the consisting of two 1.6 oz (45.4 g) all beef patties, special "Mac" sauce (a Thousand Island dressing variant), iceberg, lettuce. American cheese, pickles, and onions all served on a three part sesame seed bun. Then there’s the Whopper from Burger King The Original Whopper sandwich is a hamburger, consisting of a grilled quarter-pound (113.4 g) beef patty, sesame seed bun, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and onion. These to sandwiches are what makes the brands. There are two factors to look at here the taste and health.
As far as taste goes, I like the Whopper from Burger King better than I like the Big Mac from McDonald’s. With the Big Mac, most of my problem was finding the two all-beef patties in a sea of buns and lettuce it was surrounded by. Plus I really didn’t like the sauce on it, and the cheese. With the Whopper, I love everything about it. Well almost everything the onions leave your breath funky! The burger is supposed to be their top-of-the-line; they could at least throw a slice of cheese on it for you, with you making it "your way."
As for the health, now this might surprise you, but neither sandwich is what the surgeon general might refer to as "part of a healthy, balanced diet." That being said, one sandwich is "healthier" than the other. The Big Mac, weighing in at...
