The Moon!!

The Moon is the only surface other than Earth to be steped on. On July 20th 1969 it was the first Moon landing and Neil Amerstrong is the first person to step on it. Believe it or not Buzz Aldrins mother's maiden name is Moon. The Moon has no atmospher. It is through atmosphere that light is spread and sound waves travel. This means that no sound can be heard on the Moon and the sky is always black because sound and light cant be spread. Since the moon has no atmospher, it has no air around it. So the air that surrounds our earth acts as a huge blanket to keep us warm. But the moon since it doesn't have this blanket it gets much colder than the earth and much hotter than the earth. All the men are Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Pete Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, David Scott, James Irwin, John Young, Chatles Duke Jr., Eugene Cernan, and Harrison Schmitt. This is fairly recently in the Moon's history. Most of the surface features of the Moon are billions of years old which ecplains why there are few impact craters nearby. The average centre-to-centre distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,400 km, about thirty times the diameter of the Earth. The Moon's diameter is 3,474 km The Moon makes a...
