My Trip to Mexico
I was born in Mexico in 1989, and came to live to the U.S at age 3. Ever since I came to live to the U.S I had never gone back to Mexico, and I always wondered what the town I was born in would be like. At age 14 my parents, brother and I decided to take a trip, and we chose Mexico. I was excited about the trip because I always wanted to go to Mexico, and embrace my birthplace. My first visit to Mexico was the best experience I had ever had, and to this date I have never forgotten it.
My parents, brother and I decided to take a trip to Mexico for many different reasons. We hadn’t seen our family members that live in Mexico ever since we came to live I the U.S. Last time we were in Mexico was about 11 years ago, so it was time to revisit it. It was also time for a vacation, because we hadn’t been out from Salinas in a very long time. To me visiting the town I was born in was the most important, because I wanted to know where I came from. I wanted to experience a different lifestyle that the one we have in the U.S, and trust me I got what I wanted.
We left on our trip in December, just in time for the Christmas holidays. As soon as you set foot in Mexico you can tell the difference. I was amazed of every little thing that I saw and the every new thing too. My thought of Mexico was so different than what I was seeing, because I thought I would be very poor conditions, but my thoughts changed. Everybody from the town was very welcoming, and friendly specially our family.
