The world is not everything that it appears to be in this era. Though some may think everything happens for a reason this may not always be true. Products in stores are put in certain areas for a reason. The product must be available for the consumer and located where they would be looking. A shopper is about to check out, but has to wait in line. While standing there the shopper picks up a candy bar, and a news paper which was not on the shoppers list before entering the store.
The magazine has been placed where the shopper has come to a stop and has nothing else to do, but wait in line while their eyes wander. Magazines do not only attract the shopper, because of the content, but in this day the person has gained a need for new items. The consumer is conditioned to stay happy by buying something new. The store has been provided with research information on where and how to place items to hoax the shopper into buying more than they actually need. The same is done with the candy, even though the candy is on the opposite side of the register, it is something that attracts the younger non-shoppers. When they are standing by their parents in the dreaded line at the checkout an entire wall of sweets is staring them down. The young follower of the shopper begs and pleads for candy, and soon has provided a sale of another product not needed by the consumer. The stores tactics are all around affecting everybody in this economic world.
