In a world where information was usually broadcasted from one central location to the masses, the Internet made it possible for each individual to communicate with others over vast geographic distances without relying on technologies such as TV, radio or even a telegraph machine. The Internet has made it possible for not only communication to occur between two people, but between millions at the same time. Several years ago, the Internet was invented for the military to keep control and maintain command of its nuclear missiles, airplanes and bombers after a nuclear attack. Today, the internet is now used by people to date online.
Online dating, or Internet dating, is a dating system that allows people to make contact and communicate with each other over the Internet, usually with the objective of developing a personal, romantic, or sexual relationship. Online dating poses some serious side effects, which if not taken care of might result in disasters. Anyone who uses it needs to understand how online dating can affect his/her life, habits, routine and time management. Obviously, online dating has both negative and positive parts because numerous people exaggerate or lie about who they are, there is high chance of getting hurt or being let down by someone. On the other hand, people can meet their best partner in life.
In recent years, the use of online dating or online personals services has evolved from a marginal to a mainstream social practice.
