OUR TOWN:LIFE IS A CYCLE

Life,a very powerful and somehow undescribeable word but also something that We as humans
just see passing by throughout our days with its many opportunities and even its simplicity of a regular
morning eating breakfast in family with loved ones without appreciating the fact that We can use those
moments to tell them how much We love them.

In “Our Town” a three act play by Thornton Wilder ,He shows the audience life as something We
clearly take for granted without looking at the importance of the little ,and for Us very often
unimportant things and moments in life.Wilder uses the characters in the play to give the audience
a “global message” of what We humans miss living our lives the way We do without looking at the big
picture that opens doors to a brand new life full of opportunities ,love and happiness without little or
no regrets to take with Us when We get to leave earth .Even though there are a bunch of characters in
the play, there are three in particular that caught my attention the most in the play as Simon Stimson ,
George Gibbs, and of course Emily Webb.I chose   these characters because they cover pretty much most

and beauty of a perfect day ,and ends at night and with Emily’s death as sign of darkness   and sadness
which with the scenes of   the characters makes it even more noticeable .

The first act is named “Daily Life” and birth, and tells the audience about an ordinary day in the small
fictional   town of Grover Corners ,New Hampshire and also introduce the audience to the two most
important families in the play:The Webb and The Gibbs, two ordinary American families...
