During the time of Jesus, Palestine was a big as the U.S state, Vermont. Palestine was divided into 3 parts. They were known as Samaria, Galilee, and Judea. These parts were different and alike in many ways. For example, Galilee is a beautiful mountainous country that is protected by Roman soldiers. Galilee didn’t have a lot of trade routes. They were mostly used by Roman soldiers to travel to another city. Most people didn’t want to travel because of this reason. Most people were afraid of the Roman soldiers except Jewish people. The Romans respected the Jews because of their laws of their religion except one rule. That rule is that they couldn’t partake in war and Rome was all about their army. At this time Palestine was influenced by the Greek and the Roman cultures. These cultures were a big impact on Palestine. When Galilee was respecting Jewish people, Samaria disliked Jews. Samaria was a desert land with many oasis. Palestine was a huge land that was separated because of that. It was big in many ways. In religion and in land. Jerusalem was the center of Religion for numerous religions. There were many temples in Jerusalem. Palestine was special to many religions. It was where many religions started too. Christianity started there when Jesus preached and spread the word of God. Palestine was divided because there weren’t a lot of people in the country and too much empty space. Judea had a little bit of every habitat. It was made up of desert, forests, and cities. The dead sea was in the east and the forests in the southern region. Palestine was east of the Mediterranean sea. The Jordan river flows through Palestine and dumps of in the dead sea and the sea of Galilee. At the time of Jesus, the walls of Palestine were barriers from the outside world. The Roman guards kept watch at night, when the gates were closed. Palestine was a very holy country. Jerusalem was the holiest country in the world at the time of Jesus. Numerous religions pointed to Jerusalem....
