A standardized test is any examination that's administered and scored in a predetermined, standard manner. There are two major kinds of standardized tests which are called aptitude tests and achievement tests. Standardized aptitude tests predict how well students are likely to perform. When you are in at least the first grade you start taking some type of test whether it is a vocabulary test or a State exam for math and English. I wonder, have theses teachers ever thought about why a student does so well in class, but not on tests? In my opinion, tests do not show anything, except a grade.

The time frame in which you get your results back from the exam is dreadful. It takes so long to get the results from the exam back that the tests can not be used to help the students that took the test. They can only be used to help the next group of kids do better on the next type of exam. Instead of helping the kids that took the test that did bad you have to wait nearly a year to get the results back from the test, now you can not even help them for when the have to take a...
