Choice of marriage is going to be existed in the future society
      The absolute choice of marriage will spread wider in the next humanity.   From the ancient society to the current society, people should have choice on making the decision to marriage. However, there is too much barriers that limits people's choice of marriage. The choice of marriage has never been freed. However, there is one thing for sure. The barriers have never successfully stopped the development of choice of marriage. The most typical barriers are regulations, culture, educations, biological needs, and group pressures. If those barriers are removed, the choice of marriage is getting full developed.
      The definition of choice of marriage is that there is no any external interference to the individual spiritual. In the other words, everyone can love anyone. However, the world does not allow this behaviors and thoughts.   The gender regulations are the most typical barrier in the society.   So far, there is no any eligible law which allows the same gender marriage, and bigamous marriage.
      Even though some states such as California, Massachusetts, the whole national congress or government is trying their best to ban the same sex marriage:
The 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, signed by then-President Bill Clinton, defined marriage for federal purposes as between one woman and one man. The law also said individual states were not obliged to honor gay marriage laws passed in other states. "Even after this decision -- as wonderful as it is -- same-sex couples who get   recognize their relationships and provide full equality for them," said James Esseks of the American Civil Liberties Union.
