A reason to lie
Throughout all my life I have been told that lying is a bad thing. But, there are certain times in life where you have no choice. In February my friends and I decided to take a trip to Big Bear and see snow. Everything was going perfect; we ate food, built a snowman, and had a snow ball fight. It was one of the best times we had experienced together until it was time to go back home. As we packed our belongings and started driving down the mountain we realized that the ground was covered in snow and the car suddenly started to slide and the driver lost control and crashed into another car. Both cars were totaled and everyone was in panic. There were cuts, bruises and blood everywhere, luckily everyone survived. In the middle of all this panic my mom started calling me nonstop and I didn’t want to pick up, I didn’t no what I was going to tell her. After things started to calm down I decided to call my mom and tell her we were going to spend the night even though we weren’t. I knew it was wrong to lie, but at that moment it was the right decision because my mom could do nothing to help me and she would only be worried about me. By the time we got home it was very late I explained to her what happened and she was very upset but I knew I had made the right decision.
