Central idea / Thesis Statement: All throughout the last 6 decades skateboarding has become a popular sport that is often used by young adults today.

        V. Attention Getter: Have you guys ever wondered how many Americans skateboard?

      VI. Credibility Statement (ethos): Well according to Glenn Brumage executive at Tum Yeto and an IASC board member, Brumage explains that there are around 11.08 million participants. Also that skateboarding is a 4.8 billion dollar market!

      VII. Relevancy Statement: During the summer im sure most of us will see people outside skateboarding and ive even seen some people here on campus doing it as well. Skater for Public Skateparks Skater Census shows that 4.6% of the people in an average community skateboard and half of those people do it weekly.
