Second Hand Smoke

Have you ever been waiting on line and a mouth full of smoke was blown into your face? Smoking in public places should be banned. The American Lung Association has said “secondhand smoke has been classified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a known cause of cancer in humans”. Coming from a long line of family member who have died from lung cancer, it is a huge deal for me when people smoke around me. Smoking is dangerous and it says on all cigarette packs that smoking kills you and harms others around you.
Smoking cigarettes is a disgusting habit and is hard to break. Gaetane Ross is a Certified Natural Health Consultant who has spent over 4 years focusing on Nutrition and Health. Geatane Ross has done statistics that show that 1 in 10 adults all over the world die from tobacco, which translates to around 5 million tobacco deaths every year. There is no risk free amount of smoke one can inhale. Every time you breathe in a breath of smoke you are damaging your lungs whether your smoking or the person next to you is. When you inhale smoke, you are killing away your lungs’ natural defenses. If you are exposed to smoke on a regular basis you can eventually paralyze the lungs’ natural cleansing process. Which causes your   lungs work harder.
According the American Lung Association children are more exposed to second hand smoke then adults. “In the United States, 21 million, or 35 percent of, children live in homes where residents or visitors smoke in the home on a regular basis. Approximately 50-75 percent of children in the United States have detectable levels of Cotinine, the breakdown product of nicotine in the blood”.( U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
