In this research, the colloquia has examined on depression. Such Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) effects on emotion, behaviour and eating disorder. The research also mentioned that the people suffer from depression would feel helpless and hopeless therefore, such thoughts would lead them to think of death and suicide. Besides, they would lose interest and pleasure in usual activities. In addition, the sufferers would gain significant weight loss or weight gain. Suicidal ideation in the past MDE indicated that the recurrence of people who have had 3 or more episodesr in the later episodes rises to 90%.
How recurrent depression works? People who have a negative thinking at the beginning, after that their thoughts back to normal, eventually it will be potentially relapse. People who have low mood would reactivate the negative thinking, so this would cause the negative thinking to be reestablished and “nipped in the bud” (no relapse).
In this topic, psychological treatments (MBCT, CPE and TAU) has been used to reduce the risk of relapse and the incidence of suicidal symptoms. The participants who are in the age of 18-70, at least have 3 episodes of depression and had been treated with anti-depress in the past of suicidal ideation who are schizophrenia, bipolar, eating disorder, OCD, self harming and psychotherapy. The results of this study had been discussed within high risk of depression and suicidal which need to address the ongoing risk before the next episode. The aim of this trial is to reduce relapse and suicidal symptoms.
