How many opportunities has the average American had to go to many different countries? I fortunately have gotten that chance. I have great grandparents that treat me so special. This is not a paper about bragging or any sorts of that, it is simply just a sharing of all the neat and amazing places that I have gotten to see.
The first time out of the country was simply amazing. My grandma called one day and just said when you come to our house for your spring break, bring some summer clothes with you. At that point I was kind of confused not knowing why I would bring warm summer clothes in the spring time, when in Pennsylvania its in the upper 50’s. Knowing that I get cold very easily, I merely just wasn’t going to listen.
So, having only a couple weeks till spring break started I was getting quite anxious. When I got home from school that day I got a call from my grandma, she said she will just be meeting me halfway at the airport in Ohio. So now I was completely confused, more than I was before! I had no clue what to say so I just said ok and hung up the phone.
It was finally that day; I got to leave for the airport. I was leaving out of Fort Wayne and I was meeting my grandparents in Ohio somewhere. I was just so happy just to see them. I forgot to even ask why they were meeting me in Ohio; I just assumed that we were going back to Pennsylvania. But as we boarded the plane, the destination was for New Orleans.
In New Orleans we rode a little trolley type thing across the city. As we reached our final stopping area, there was a huge immaculate ship. I was going on a cruise, and I was pretty darn excited! It took FOREVER to actually get onto the ship. They had to check our bag and everything.
