The Navy Pier
I had the chance to experience the Navy Pier for the first time this year and I have to say it amazed me. The shopping, dining, entertainment that always goes on just some of the reasons I would return. Navy Pier has a lot of entertainment to offer. First thing I noticed when I walked into the Navy Pier a 150-foot-high Ferris wheel, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before; it took me back to my childhood. I saw all the kids with their families with faces of joy. As they stood in line waiting for their chance to ride and kids asking their parents over and over if their turn had come yet.
The Ferris wheel reminds me so much about my childhood, my mom and I always went on the Ferris wheel as a child anytime we went to a fair or some place that had one. Navy Pier hosts an unparalleled array of family—oriented events and entertainment; beside the Ferris wheel you can play on the amazing 18-hole miniature golf course, where families can go out and compete with one another. I’ve never seen kid’s face’s so happy when they make that first hole, so proud of themselves and their parents looking back cheering them on just as proud as well.
I remember to little boys very well: both wearing white t-shirts as they started the first hole on the 18-hole golf course. They ran trying to beat one another to the next hole, and, mind you in July, one of the hottest months of the year. So by the time they made it to that 18thhole needless to say their white t-shirt’s appeared soaking wet from all the sweat. It was funny because the facial expressions looked priceless. The two boys having so much fun, felt all the sweat coming down: they looked as if it had rained on them. Just having fun, getting away from all of your problems that life comes with and just enjoying yourself for a day, navy pier provides all the fun you need.
Navy Pier has amazing places offering some of the greatest food in Chicago, whatever your mood, budget;...
