With the economy getting worse and now with even less jobs, joining the Marines is the best decision if you are joining the military. The Marines instill responsibility and respect, give you great benefits for you and your family, and they also have several job opportunities for people who like to expand their career. There is no greater accomplishment then becoming a United States Marine.
The United States Marine Corps was formed in 1775 by Congress to conduct ship to ship fighting and security for the Navy, during the struggle for America’s independence. Since then the Marines have participated in several wars and conflicts to protect the United States and other foreign countries. They have brought about several new tactics and live saving equipment to reduce the deaths of marines and to successfully complete missions. The Marines are one of the most elite fighting forces in the world today.
Today it is very hard to come upon a kid who addresses you as sir or mam, or who shakes your hand and treats you with respect. Upon arriving into a Marine Corps recruiting office, the recruiter immediately treats you with respect. During you’re time in boot camp your instructors teach you the meaning of respect and responsibility. You learn to do simple jobs that could not only save your life but a fellow Marine too. After your completion of boot camp you have been molded into a new individual who will never give up and fight for what he believes in. This can also help you after the Marines to meet new people and also for new job opportunities.
